The neighbourhood of Keheewin is located in south west Edmonton. Keheewin means “eagle” in Cree. Construction in Keheewin started in the 1970s, according to the 2001 federal census, when 14.2% of the homes in the neighbourhood were built. The majority were built in the 1980s, when 62.4% of the homes in Keheewin were built. Another 19.9% were built in the 1990s. There is still development to be done in the neighbourhood.
