The neighbourhood of Ermineskin is located in south west Edmonton, and is named after Chief Ermineskin of Hobbema. The majority of homes in Ermineskin were built between 1970 and 1990, according to the 2001 federal census. A total of 42.6% were built during the 1970s, and 30.5% were built during the 1980s, with just 19.7% built in the 1990s.
